Innovation platform - Hazard prevention
Numerous institutions and companies are currently researching and developing in the field of emergency response. As part of this year's Florian trade fair, the Landesfeuerverband Sachsen e.V. has set up an "Innovation Platform - Hazard Prevention" to give Saxon research institutions and companies in particular the opportunity to present their projects to a broad specialist audience.
The following program was compiled from the large number of proposals submitted:

Networked resource management
For many years, the Fraunhofer IVI has been developing solutions for networked operations management with integrated resource management and transferring them into practical use. By networking the distributed resource management systems, resources can be pooled in disasters and major emergencies and the processes of comprehensive administrative assistance can be accelerated.

HALI research project and the KIS-M research project.
The HALI_Berlin project is a research and demonstration project funded as part of the BMDV's National Program for the Promotion of GALILEO-PRS. The term "HALI" is derived from the Finnish abbreviation "HälytysAjoneuvojen LIikennevaloetuudet", which translates as "traffic light control for emergency vehicles".
The main objective of the HALI_Berlin project is to test and demonstrate the GALILEO-PRS navigation service in an application for authorities and organizations with security tasks. Specifically, emergency vehicles of the Berlin police and fire department are to locate each other quickly, reliably and without interference in a challenging inner-city test area in Berlin-Moabit. This reliable position information will be used to adapt the control of traffic lights. In this way, GALILEO-PRS supports the emergency services in driving quickly, safely and without delay to the scene.
In KIS-M, an AI-based system for networked mobility is being tested that meets the challenges of autonomous, driverless and demand-oriented operation in dynamically growing service areas. Particularly important here are user-centered implementation, seamless networking in the future mobility system and a socially accepted vision of the mobility of tomorrow.
Based on preliminary work, requirements for V2I traffic control are evaluated and necessary extensions to the V2I equipment in the test field are made. Prioritization for public transport/BOS will then be tested.
Testing will be carried out with several test vehicles for automated driving in public spaces, BOS vehicles and public transport vehicles.

Digital learning and management systems for BOS
The Mittweida University of Applied Sciences develops digital systems to optimize work together with fire departments and other BOS.
Firefighter Legends
The correct handling of fire, extinguishing and injuries is important, but must be learned. Children are familiarized with this in the app in a playful way and with clear, short lessons, and some of the tasks and challenges of the fire department are presented.
Planning and management system (EventApp)
Many non-profit associations, such as the Landesfeuerwehrverband Sachsen e.V. (LFV), organize a wide variety of events, such as specialist conferences or fire department festivals. Employees and resources need to be organized and guests need to be informed. Much of this is still organized slowly and laboriously with pen, paper and a lot of manual work, instead of using the modern and faster possibilities of smartphones. An app has therefore been developed to simplify these processes and free up resources for more important tasks.
Online learning platform
Volunteer firefighters are sometimes on duty when seminars are taking place or are tied up at work. But further training is important and should take place when the opportunity arises. That is why the learning platform was implemented and various courses enable individual and flexible further training, including small tests of one's own level of knowledge or examinations on complex topics.
Funding portal
Many administrative processes are paper-based, slow and tie up employees who could be put to more valuable use elsewhere. For this reason, the entire application, processing and billing process was implemented in a web-based solution using the example of the funding portal for youth fire departments.

Securing emergency scenes in public traffic areas, taking into account the increasing use of highly sensitive driver assistance systems (DAS) in vehicles of all classes
Safeguarding operational sites in public traffic areas, taking into account the increasing spread of highly sensitive driver assistance systems (DAS) in vehicles of all classes
Content of the project:
Specification and supplementation of DGUV Information 205-010 "Safety in the fire department" (July 2011 edition), Chapter C6 "Securing operational sites in traffic areas".
Implementation:
Carrying out extensive driving tests with emergency vehicles to determine whether their optical warning devices, reflective foils as well as interrupted reflective surfaces (e.g. with open trunk, open flaps or roller shutters) can negatively influence the effectiveness of the emergency brake assistants of other vehicles by interfering with the radar beams or sensors (e.g. camera, LIDAR, radar).
